The Beauty of Savoring

Taking photos with our smart phones allow us to capture beautiful moments in our daily life. However, most people are too busy to post photos on social media and as a result might be unable to FULLY experience and enjoy the moment.

When we allow ourselves to simply ‘stay longer’ in the moment, use our various senses to appreciate and marvel at the shapes, colors, lights and smell and textures of objects, animals, people or environment we come across, we are savoring.

Savoring is the capacity to attend to the joys, pleasures and other positive feelings we experience in our daily life1. Research showed that savoring can help people enhance their resilience and psychological well-being2.

Try look around and see what you can savor now?
